Objective

INTRODUCTION

The Internal Audit Centre (IAC) is committed to conducting independent and systematic audits to evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls, and governance processes. Through strategic assessments and professional recommendations, IAC aims to drive continuous improvement, strengthen organizational integrity, and deliver value-added contributions to the activities and operations of BBP.

This purpose is in line with Domain I: Purpose of Internal Auditing with Global Internal Audit Standard (GIAS) which states that "Internal auditing strengthens the organization's ability to create, protect and sustain value by providing the board and management with independent, risk-based, and objective assurance, advice, insight and foresight'.

OBJECTIVE

The primary objective of the IAC is to support Management and the Board of Directors in strengthening governance, risk management, and internal control processes to ensure the organization operates effectively, efficiently, and in compliance with established policies and regulations.

IAC provides independent and objective assessments through comprehensive reviews, analysis, and recommendations, while also delivering strategic insights, advisory services, and relevant information on all audited activities to support informed decision-making and continuous organizational improvement.
